Okay, it looks like major media is reporting on the event so I guess it isn't a secret. I went to the Disney Studios roll-out yesterday and it was amazing. A full day of movie trailers and one full movie screening. My butt was sore but happy!

Lots of stars on hand - Jim Carey, Robin Williams, The Rock, Tim Allen - who gave Dick Cook at lot of grief ("What Kimmel wasn't available to do this?) - John Travolta, George Lopez, Nic Cage, and even Johnny Depp showed as Jack Sparrow to announce that he will be the Lone Ranger...and also that he will be in Pirates 4? It wasn't clear whether they were announcing that or not. Miley Cyrus performed a song from the Hannah movie. It was really good.

I have to say the slate looks incredible. Lots of movies I am sure will be big hits and lots of good solid base hits like The Proposal, a Sandra Bullock romcom. Really looking forward to Race to Witch Mountain. That looks really action packed and Dewayne Johnson (The Rock to me) looks great in it. Very excited about The Princess and The Frog. They had Dr. John performing one of the songs from the film and it sounded great. When you look at the trailer and character designs, there is almost a sense of deja vu because it looks like classic Disney. It looks like it will be an instant classic. Can't wait to see more. Can't wait for Cars 2 and Toy Story 3! John and Ed's impact on Disney Animation was very clear and particularly in....

Bolt. They screened the whole thing. It looks great. Lots of heart and a really solid story. I think people are going to be very surprised. Disney Animation is back!

Also, I can't wait for Doubt with Meryl Streep and Philip Seymour Hoffman. It looks so intense. And another one that looked awesome was The Surrogates with Bruce Willis. Its about a future in which people live their lives through surrogate robots that look like them and go out in the real world while they are plugged into a machine. I can't do it justice. It look amazing.

Its going to be a good couple of years for Disney film!
